Success Stories
GROWTH AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS, WEALTH CREATION and CHANGE MANAGEMENT:
Created and implemented the business plan, provided the financial analysis, market analysis, and feasibility of design for the infrastructure, network components, and customer equipment for AMR and future Smart Grid applications as well as the capability for enhanced customer service features for a major municipal electric provider. The plan also provided for a triple play, fiber to the home solution offering Internet, video, and telephone service on a competitive basis. Stephen and his team constructed over a thousand miles of fiber optic cable, a new network operations center, and remote facilities for distributed services. This work created millions in new revenues

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT, TECHNOLOGY SOULUTIONS SOLVING PRACTICAL PROBLEMS:
Traffic congestion on the state road network, for a large municipality, continued to increase due to population growth and increased personnel at a major military facility.  A proposal to design a fiber based Ethernet network to support the city’s application was accepted. Stephen’s team worked with city engineers and contractors to develop a remote traffic control system to monitor traffic flow and remotely adjust traffic signals where the busiest traffic occurred.  Traffic signal monitoring was added a year later. The shared network reduced the city budget by hundreds of thousands.

COST REDUCTION, ENGINEERING DESIGN, AND PROJECT PLANNING:
The Information Systems Departments for a city and county were challenged with upgrading their respective networks to reach new locations and existing departments that were distributed remotely throughout the area. Stephen's group proposed providing a private data network for each of these governmental organizations by integrating their needs into a single fiber optic network already in use by another entity.  Remote services for a university were also integrated. The combined savings were in excess of a million dollars.

TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Stephen was selected to  complete the construction of a fiber optic network to encompass the state for a a top tier public utility organization. The vision of this network improved reliability of service and operations for the organization and customer service satisfaction increased.  All corporate capital and operating reductions were achieved.
